Chief Glenn Hudson, the elected Chief of the Peguis First Nation, has been providing Manitoba’s largest First Nation community of over 13,000 members of Ojibwe and Cree decent with dynamic and progressive leadership since 2007.
Born and raised in the community of Peguis, he has been re-elected five times and currently stands as:
- The Chair of the Treaty One Organization,
- An Executive Member of the Southern Chiefs Organization, and
- A Board Member of the Manitoba Indian Cultural Education Centre.
An experienced politician, adept at negotiating with the Public Sector, Chief Hudson’s strong, effective working relationships with local, provincial and federal government officials has led to the following benefits for Peguis First Nation:

- Funded the successful lobbying of Federal acceptance of day school claims

Education
- Negotiated increases for Manitoba First Nations
- Peguis education funding increased $2.4 million,the first time in 48 years we have had an increase in funding.
